Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola Extract)
- Anti-aging, redness and irritation, all skin types
Used on aging skin, Centella Asiatica can help improve overall skin tone and support the natural synthesis of collagen.
Used as an active ingredient in Murad, Creme de la Mer, Dermadoctor, and many other skin care lines.
One of those extracts that have been used since prehistoric times in folk medicine, Indian Pennywort (Centella Asiatica) is rich in asiaticosides and madecassosides and can help with skin and scar healing, boost circulation, improve the collagen foundation of the skin, and fight oxidation.
Used on ageing skin, it can help with skin elasticity and firmness.
Promotes healing, yet helps to prevent the formation of excess scar tissue. Recent studies have shown Centella Asiatica may have a positive effect on the circulatory system and may improve blood flow throughout the body by strengthening veins and capillaries. Available in our Collagen Serum and Firming Collagen Serum

I was so looking forward to using this as I have mild rosacea and spider veins. Firstly, only a quarter of the tube supplied is to be mixed into the 120ml canvas base cream. I wish the products came in the appropriate proportions as my kitchen scales were not really up to weighing a quarter of 5g of Centella Asiatica. I used my mixture twice a day for 5 days. My pores became clogged and my nose became much redder and little red spotty bumps appeared. I have stopped using this cream on my face now - as I spent quite a lot of money really I am using it up on my varicose veins on my legs! I will go back to using Avene and I guess bin the remainder of the Centella Asiatica.
